About

I’ve loved to sing ever since I was old enough to make sounds

Hi, I’m Cam. I love coffee and flowers and science and writing music. I grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, a northern suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. I grew spending time on the water, in both its liquid and solid phases, fishing and boating during the summer and playing hockey and snowboarding in the winter. My first job was at a ski hill in Dresser, Wisconsin called Trollhaugen where I taught young kids how to snowboard.

I moved to Terre Haute, Indiana to go to college at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where I majored in Biomedical Engineering and started playing music as a hobby. I moved to Indianapolis to go graduate school at Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis (IUPUI) for Biology where I studied Microbiology, working in a lab that studied the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa and how it regulates its virulence factors. After years of playing music as a hobby I decided to take a leap and pursue a career in music.

My life today revolves around music. I run a recording studio in Indianapolis called Milkman Recording Studios (www.milkmanrecording.com) with my partner Rob Glass. When I'm not recording and producing music for other people I like to play music at home, singing songs to an indifferent wall.

I have a home near Garfield Park where I have a home studio, an amateur woodshop, 12 varieties of lilies, 8 types of tulips, some lilacs, peonies, hyacinths and a rotating cast of herbs and vegetables. I like to walk and run through the nearby park, do yoga, and lift weights to maintain a tenuous grip on my sanity.
